The mules Ulises, the new and exclusive shoes of Ulises Mérida and Ana Marttin

The meticulousness and attention to detail are present in each creation of Ulises Mérida. Their collections are a whole in which the main garments are as important as the accessories. For this reason, the designer has entrusted the footwear of Vals to the firm Ana Marttin, which has made an original design of Ulises Mérida come true: some mules that condense the free, feminine and evocative spirit of the collection, and which will be available in a limited edition

The designer has borrowed one of the classic models of the firm, the Minori shoes, to devise a new silhouette of marked lines and firm bearing on them. Unzipped, finished in tip and with an elegant trapezoidal closure that holds the foot from the instep. One of the most striking elements of mule Ulysses is its architectural heel, painted to the skin tone according to the design.

Made of leather and suede leather, they are the fruit of a laborious work process, as explained by Ana Martínez, designer of the firm. “The first thing we do is the sketch, the modeler is taken to make the patterns of all the pieces and we do the cutting. Once the best skins have been selected by our artisans, they are taken to the cutter, and finally they are assembled “.

In each step, only noble materials are used. In this case, the skin and suede leather has been chosen, combined with a goatskin lining and leather sole. Elements that appear in different color combinations, marked by the basic color chart of the collection: blue ink, cyclamen, dry green, crude and dark earth.

The collaboration will be available in a limited edition that will go on sale in the middle of next April.
